End-user licence agreement
Last updated 2 November 2026
This agreement is between you and ARCED International LLC (“we”), which makes DataFlow. It covers the DataFlow app on your computers. The Terms cover the rest: plans, the trial, billing and your account. By installing DataFlow you agree to both. If you accept them for an organisation, you confirm you may do so on its behalf. If the two ever seem to differ, the Terms apply.
Your licence
While you have a plan or a trial, we give you a licence to install DataFlow and use it for your work. It's personal, non-exclusive and you can't transfer it. Licences belong to people, not computers: each seat is one person, who can use DataFlow on their own computers. Seats can't be shared between people.
Anyone may install DataFlow and use it with the sample study, with no account or plan.
DataFlow is licensed, not sold. We keep every right this agreement doesn't give you.
What you can't do
The same as the Terms' fair use. Please don't:
- share a seat between people, or resell or sublicense DataFlow;
- get around the licence check or the read-only mode;
- reverse engineer DataFlow, except as far as the law allows despite this;
- use DataFlow to break the law or other people's rights.
Updates
DataFlow keeps itself up to date. It checks DataFlow's releases on GitHub for a new version and installs only an update signed with the key built into the app. Windows installers are signed by ARCED International LLC, and each release lists checksums for its files.
If a version is very old, for example when a security fix can't wait, the app may ask you to update before it syncs, runs checks or fixes problems. Opening projects and downloading them keep working.
Open-source parts and AI models
DataFlow is built with open-source software, such as DuckDB and llama.cpp, and its local AI uses models made by others. Each keeps its own licence, and this agreement doesn't limit what those licences let you do. They're listed, with their licences, in the app's About.
Your data stays on your computers
DataFlow keeps your projects on your computers, encrypted, and we never receive your survey data. What the app does send, none of it survey data, is listed on Security and privacy. You're responsible for having the right to collect and process your data, and for keeping backups of your projects.
When a plan ends
Nothing is locked away. DataFlow becomes read-only: you can still open every project and download everything in it. Choosing a plan again turns the rest back on.
DataFlow works offline. It needs to check your licence once every 30 days; if it can't, it's read-only in the same way until it connects again.
No warranty, and limits
The same as in the Terms:
As far as the law allows, DataFlow is provided “as is”, without warranties beyond those in these terms. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Ending this agreement
You can end it at any time by uninstalling DataFlow. We may end your licence if you break this agreement or the Terms, after telling you why. Your projects stay yours either way: DataFlow still opens them read-only, so you can download everything in them. “No warranty, and limits” still applies after the agreement ends.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in Wyoming. If you use DataFlow as a consumer, this doesn't take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim there.
Changes
If this agreement changes, the date above changes, and account holders hear about important changes by email before they apply. Continuing to use DataFlow after that means accepting them.
